It's one of those things I've heard people talking about for a while. When you're done with a story, read it aloud to yourself.
It works. If you stumble on a sentence, it probably needs to be rewritten.
Kinda wished I'd listened to this before I finished the novel. Ah well, there will be time to revise it again later.

This is one of my favorite things to do - if you REALLY want to have fun with it tape yourself reading or record it burn a cd then listen to it a week later while driving or stuff.
AMAZING what you hear and are inspired to fix! :D
Oh God, no. I'd want to strangle the narrator in ten minutes flat. I have a lot of difficulty listening to my own voice.
